Free and very good: Contemporary Music for Guitar by Jan Novák with the duo Lumen
Duo plays lumen Jan Novák "Rosarivm" Anyone who knows a little in contemporary music for guitar, knows that it contains for the most part more or less pronounced folk-references from the Spanish and Latin American regions. This is of course nothing wrong per se. Both cultures have a significant share of the expression of the modern guitar music of the 20th Century had, without Spanish and Latin American composers and performers, the scene would be much. much poorer. But - the reverse is of course wrong: guitar music must have decidedly not Spanish or Latin American roots. A very good example of the cycle "Rosarivm" by the Czech composer Jan Novák (1921-1984) is.
# MusicmondayDas Italian duo lumen (Matteo Rigotti and Mauro Tonolli) has now released these almost 20 minutes to the already exciting Italian netlabel Parafonica. "Rosarivm" is fascinating, complex, complex but generally accessible modern music neoclassic expression. Novák's interest in the Latin language (hence the Latin spelling of Rosarivm v for u) it also seems to have structurally influenced in his compositions, which are very organized, very well thought out and work it very artfully. The duo Lumen turns out in this publication as the best possible advocate for the music Novák. Here are two brand-rounder with a lot of commitment and expertise at work.
In my opinion this is one of the most important publications in the more manageable free classical music scene. "Rosarivm" is a good example for Jan Novák's virtually unknown, but worth discovering music that there is hardly any commercial publications - "Rosarivm" was according to my research, never recorded before, and published - is now available as a free download with a free CC license before: An unconditional recommendation for all fans of guitar music and contemporary works.
