John Frusciante goes for the EP ... and the album!

John Frusciante is one of those artists who are not with nonsense. If you are for something, go for it bluntly, without getting lost along the way. Now his solo career is your biggest - and only - entertainment so the former guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, apart from confirming the release of an EP (July 17, "Letur-Lefr"), has also done its announcing the release of an LP ...!.

The album in question is called 'Intaglio Funicular PBX Zone "and will be released on September 25. Apparently both releases will be diametrically opposed. The first is a collection of songs recorded in 2010, while "Funicular Intaglio PBX Zone" was conceived and recorded in 2011. Both will be released on vinyl and CD, cassette and digital format (unbelievable but true, cassette).

Frusciante has described the new material as a "progressive syntheses." If I remember "To Record Only Water for Ten Days", released in 2001 and followed that path a bit so it would not be hard to believe that the EP (at least more than the album) could follow the path of the old release guitarist. Anyway Frusciante sure the club with two pitches. So far little has missed this big alternative scene.
