Evan Caminiti: Night & Fog

The new solo album by Evan Caminiti (BARN OWL, Higuma) is a nocturnal journey into the vast, barren landscapes, an undirected, sleepy, nebulized glimpse into a shadowy world. Caminitis guitar on "Night Dust" consists mainly of the production of washed-out drones and crumbly structures. These are the rich, constantly in motion interspersed dark backdrop of sporadic and tenuous, fragile melody fragments. Layered knotted, distorted and packed into massive Hall veil, there is a sound that dangles like a Katenoide between earthly and cosmic nebulae distances. Explorative and sometimes more intense than the rather bland BARN OWL oeuvre.
