The savage nature of artistic illustrator (II) and (III) Toundra

We were not few people a few years ago we were captivated by the majestic cover of (II) Toundra. There was something magical about that fantastic portrait, something powerful, something epic that went beyond the colors and strokes that characterized this great work of art. Today, some three years after all that, Toundra back to get his weaponry past with other similar cover that makes us discover the dark and savage world of one of the best rock bands national post.
Cruzándonos lines with guitarist Victor we learned that the illustrator behind both works is the New Yorker Lewyta Chelsea Greene. His work in (III) is pure and without retouching, whereas in (II) Victor, Toundra guitarist who is also a great graphic designer, eventually to define the colors a bit so that the final product was as beautiful as possible.
Despite having European ancestry and Koreana, Chelsea Greene Lewyta born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York. Since very little the artist lived immersed in the fantasy that held in his head. She loved to draw everything that was imagined and, as is evident from an early age he felt a strong attraction to the figures of the forests, wild animals and the fantastic stories populated by fairies, dinosaurs and other creatures of the most ferocious. After conducting several studies of fine arts the young New Yorker decided to step forward to position itself as a freelance artist. Some of his most famous clients are brands like Tiffany and Co., Victory Records or known the New York Observer.
Reviewing your portfolio we have found that the covers of the two discs Toundra are not far from an exception in the style of his career. All artwork that Chelsea have made oppressive stories innocent human figures are inevitably linked to bloody beasts. In turn, the artist used to introduce a strange atmosphere and sensual ténebremente each and every one of his works.
For now can not even access the online store Lewyta Greene Chelsea but we very much aware of future developments in this regard. We like all his works, even that little grim tribute to the movie "The Ring" (Ringu), so we would not hesitate for a second to get hold of one of these amazing posters to frame them and hang well on the walls of our homes.

Optimus Alive 2012: the 'sold out' of Oeiras

Three-day ticket for the Optimus Alive 2012: sold out, tickets for the July 15 with Radiohead headlining: sold out. Oeiras is hot and will burn, if burn go from 13 to 15 July. The Stone Roses, The Cure and Radiohead lead a lineup of big names from the main stage to Clubbing, to finish each of the nights as they deserve.
We started very strong. A blow on Friday, hard rock, punk rock, electronica and a myth revived zapatillesca flood the main stage. Danko Jones, Refused and Justice Luso to trample the people go crazy, not without taking a break far more light with Snow Patrol ... before shouting from the rooftops that The Stone Roses are still alive. In the Heineken stage, all a bit quieter and far more feminine. The Lusa Miúda makes an appearance at the festival with their electronic pop, with opening act for noisy girls Dum Dum Girls, the torn Nika Roza of Zola Jesus commanded and more brazen Santigold electronic dub. More Portuguese representation in The Parkinsons whom we suck directly from the current punkrocker London. Make it palatable counterpoint Death in Vegas, a highlight of the day served with psychedelia and adrenaline. What next? LMFAO, Buraka Som Sistema (usual festival) and the entire Clubbing with Aeroplane, Miss Kittin, Brodinski ...
Do not want soup? Take three cups! The Cure come to Oeiras how often plan three hours at Primavera Sound? We do not know. But it will be a pleasure to watch Robert and his curling hair. All for to hear "Push" or "The Lovecats" live. Also on the main stage we can see Florence + The Machine, which makes the Optimus Alive after her performance in 2010 where we surprised everyone with their dancing barefoot woodstockianos. We will folkies with Mumford & Sons and Noah & The Whale after listening to a Portuguese band that sounds like a revelation: We Trust. What other placos? Electronic good in Clubbing with James Murphy & Pat Mahoney, the house of Guy Gerber ... The sweetness of Here We Go Magic, the theatrical scenic Blasted Mechanism, the dream pop of The Antlers ... and the great Tricky, always unpredictable stage. Great variety in the day eclectic.
The goodbyes are bitter ... unless Radiohead is up on stage to say goodbye to the sixth edition of the Optimus Alive. This is the explanation of the sold out of this day, the culmination of three headliners of cracking and three scenarios full of different styles, but with representatives of divergent quality. And so divergent. At the same stage as Thom Yorke's band perform, they will advance the experimental rock of the Lusitanian Paus, pop and electronics Kooks Caribou. Meanwhile, the girls of Warpaint create atmospheres in the Heineken stage, Mazzy Star will realize what is more psychedelic Velvet well defended in our century, Eli 'Paperboy' Reed will create an entire show soul nothing to do with the futuristic sounds of SBTRKT and electronics Metronomy, The Maccabees submit 'Given To The Wild' ... and The Kills return to the stage presenting his EP "The Last Goodbye", one of the most anticipated performances. What more to say? In Portugal, are of all shapes, colors, styles, textures ... like towels, hear!
The day tickets for 13 and 14 cost 53 euros (with optional night in Cascais for 55 euros) and the payment on Friday and Saturday, 89 euros.

The German Theatre Munich presents Avenue Q

The German Theatre Munich presents Avenue QDAS German Theatre in Munich presented on 10 06/24/2012 to dolls that certainly does not belong in the nursery. Because the cute hand puppet of the musical Avenue Q are cheeky and politically not always correct, sometimes quite obscene and above all very human. They move into the adult or adult world, their songs are about homosexuality, sexually-suggestive dreams, racism and homelessness. So they sing, and sometimes quite obscene in their lives: they are disoriented, racist, unhappy in love, selfish, disillusioned and looking for the great good fortune.
And that's what Avenue Q on Broadway has brought three Tony Awards and the critics were enthusiastic. "The biggest stage of fun this year!" And the New York Times noted:: How the New Yorker cheered "bittersweet satire and surprisingly fresh!" Even in London's West End Avenue Q was a great success: "A hip, trendy dolls musical the other kind - for adults only, "wrote the local press to the public from the soul.
It tells the story of Princeton College, funniest, who moves to Avenue Q to see the world outside of their studies. Instead of the ideal future dream to Princeton and his roommate variety is the true life experience sometimes cruel. The real adult life has replaced the illusion world rich kids on Sesame Street. Thus, the greedy Cookie Monster in Avenue Q to porn-addicted Trekkie Monster, the biscuit has fallen instead of porn and letters rather than the ideas of his neighbor Kate nibble from a purely scientific use of the Internet destroyed.
