The North American backwater from the Eau Claire Formation originated THE RONALD RAYGUN presented on their debut album "We Will All Be Dirt," a slant Zusammbringung of late-60s classic rock, post-rock instrumental excursions and modern experimental Soundschlängeleien. Fuzz bass, drones, sound effects and a drum backbone stringy weave a dense, weighty noise power, which is interrupted by selectively relaxing moments. Wonderfully playful arrangements, sometimes unconventional instrumentation and very, very delicate guitar sounds, the songs make real treat!

Mastermind of this small factory of TRR frontman Ben Hinz aka "Old Pal Aen" is. A visit to the site is worth visiting just because of the Promo-/Demo-Videos that are definitely the best of its kind for miles around!

News Rockantenne about Pete Doherty
Anyways, here again a piece that has recently occurred to me again when I heard on a news Rockantenne about Pete Doherty. The type is in fact seems quite sweet and nice and sometimes just for a young fan who was, unfortunately, in the opinion of the bouncer a bit too young to get into one of Pete's concerts, and his mother an "extra concert" played in his locker . Even something detailerter read the Vision News Flash from last Saturday. Real nice on the Babyshambles frontman ... but maybe that was also just the Mum to his taste. ;-)
Whether the little guy had the following song are also on his list, he could even make the set list, I do not know but I hope just once that Pete has bought in the meantime, a tuner for his guitar. :-)

Ad ACTA...
About 20,000 people yesterday, and against the freezing temperatures getrotz ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) was demonstrated. Called for the protest movement had the AK store, the Münchner Greens and the Pirate Party.
For the board member of the Munich Open, Thomas Pfeiffer, is the protection of fundamental rights, well above the protection of intellectual property rights: "The Greens are working to ensure that musicians and artists make a living from their work. But its the same time ensuring that is installed on the enforcement of copyright is no monitoring and repression structure. If only we had the choice between the copyright on the one hand and the fundamental rights on the other hand, must always be our covEr Story on the fundamental rights. They are the greatest good that we have. ACTA has other priorities: Providers should be stronger than currently used in the duty and liable for copyright infringement of their customers. "

Bands'n'Books: This is what # 10 from
BandsnBooks10Bands'n'Books is back! After the summer instead of winter sleep sofa and the often expressed wish to explore new areas, suddenly everything happened very quickly: from now on the organization of the LAXMag every second Wednesday of the month takes place in the provisional.
Lindwurmstraße like us not only as the secret center of Schwabing - provide facilities for the temporary us enough room for our projects, music and literature to present to each other. The first time then on 14 Of March.
But where do they fit together our two acts? I'll read from my debut novel "Most decidedly undecided," The Catberrys play songs from their album "Minnie Mazola". In my book it's about a girl between two jobs and two men - one of these men is a "Star Wars" nerd, as he stands in the book. And one or the other Catberry this movie saga ... Added to this is very appreciative that one of the jobs, the young woman concert promoter. She loves indie rock and club atmosphere - and the songs of the three boys are dripping like the only way!
We are looking forward to the evening. Intake is 19 clock, Clock beginning 20th For 5 € you may also be present. So, until then! (If you do not manage to s -.. I also read at 2.11 in the paint shop of the public work, from 7 clock See you, yes?)

Funny ass
Flashy, colorful, lively - just LMFAO come into the boiler room. Unfortunately already sold out. But we still want to show the video again.
The acronym stands for "Laughing my fucking ass off". The result was that name, so the younger gang member known as Skyler Sky TV, chatting with his grandmother. When he wrote that the proposed band name was "Sexy Dudes," she replied briefly to the Internet abbreviation "LMFAO", something like: I'm laughing my fucking ass off me.
For Sky TV was clear at once: so that the name of the band are. As cheerful as the history of their name, there is the electro-hop duo. Flashy outfits, huge, colorful spectacle frames without lenses, and funny lyrics Above all, the urge to party!
The energetic, rhythmic beats, a mix of 70s, soul and electro-flavor forcing everyone to dance with and inevitably get any party rocking. Fittingly, the most successful hit landed the two, incidentally, uncle and nephew, "Party Rock Anthem," with a blow to a place of countless charts. More expectant tracks like "Sexy and I know it" or "Sorry for Party Rocking" also suggests the intention of the band.
Stefan Kendal Gordy aka Redfoo, the uncle of the band is, interestingly, a son of Motown founder Berry Gordy, who was one of the funeral Michael Jackons to the speakers - Redfoo virtually grew up in El Dorado of black music. Certainly a wild party atmosphere you can on Monday, 27 February expect when LMFAO be entered in the boiler house the stage in the tiger skin neon look.

Old music: Lifter Puller
Before the Hold Steady, Craig Finn was already mythologising the underbelly of Minneapolis – minus the classic rock riffs
First, an apology, or at least an explanation. Any of you who've read much I've written over the last few years might know of my adoration for the work of the Hold Steady. Given that, it was inevitable that sooner or later I'd get round to pondering the work of Craig Finn's pre-THS band, Lifter Puller – Lftr Pllr to those who want to tattoo their knuckles.
Proclaiming Lifter Puller's superiority to the Hold Steady has become one of those tedious articles of faith adopted by either a) THS superfans who want to prove their knowledge is deeper and richer and more worthwhile than anyone else's, or b) those were actually among the small audience Lifter Puller gathered during their lifetime – 1994 to 2000, when the band split and Finn moved to New York from Minneapolis, Minnesota. One day someone will claim his high-school punk band, No Pun Intended, were superior to both.
Lifter Puller, Finn has told me, were pretty big in Minneapolis, pretty small everywhere else. They'd play anywhere with anyone in their hometown – there's a peculiar YouTube video of them playing on a Mississippi riverboat on a bill with the punk band Dillinger 4 – and the concept of hometown was important to them. Finn's lyrics created a mythologised Minneapolis, populated by the drugged, the drunk, the criminal and the misguided – recurring characters such as Nightclub Dwight, the Eyepatch Guy and Katrina – whose misadventures might often happen in a club called the Nice Nice. All fictional, and not at all like the real Minneapolis – but immensely attractive to those Minneapolitans seeking a frisson of dangerous romance in their hometown, as the writer Michaelangelos Matos – another Minnesotan transplanted to New York – explained to me.
Truth be told, I'm not that mad about Lifter Puller. I find myself looking for more structure, more melody to offset Finn's manic bark. Though the lyrical sensibility is fully formed, I find listening to the whole album hard work, whereas with the Hold Steady I can – and do – listen to one of their albums every week.
Space Humping $19.99 – what a title! – is about as tuneful as Lifter Puller ever got (it's from their final album, 2000's Fiestas and Fiascos). That organ line seems lifted from some 60s garage classic, softening the spikes of the post-punk rattle beneath. It's propulsive in a way Lifter Puller usually weren't: their sound was claustrophobic and unsettling, a scratch at your senses rather than a comfort. The opposite of the Hold Steady, in many ways. And if the lyrics aren't quite the perfect story of Finn's best songs, his phrasemaking is a wonder: how about "I like some funky drums but I hate some clunky drummers" or "She said it looks like a binge, she said it felt like a blast/ Woke up in the grass with the assless chaps." Nonsense, but vivid and memorable nonsense, the kind that leaves an indelible mental picture.

It wasn't just music about intoxication, it was intoxicated music. He'd be the one not quite as far gone as the others, pushing them just that little bit further until they did something really stupid. The kind of thing the characters in his songs do.
