Discovering letters of Ben Taylor in "Worlds Are Made Of Paper '
Thirty-five years ago the venerable singer-songwriters James Taylor and Carly Simon gave birth to Ben, a boy who already showed a very small singular interest in music. Such was the passion of young Ben Taylor for the folk that today, almost fifteen years after the start of his career, the offspring of the creator of 'You've Got A Friend' and has to his credit with a discography consisting of three albums (plus one unpublished to date) and 2 EPS. Looking ahead to this summer the lanky songwriter will return to show their folk vein with "Listening", fourth studio album which will be released officially on 14 August. 'Worlds Are Made Of Paper' is the first issue that we hear of this enjoyable release. Enjoy the album version of the Spinner. To listen directly from this piece that Ben recorded with his mother and singer Carly Simon David Saw.
"Sometimes we tend to write songs about our lives," commented Ben Taylor Spinner. "But for a few hours, exactly what a beautiful morning, both my life like David Saw were they based the content of this song." A song that I can not stop listening and that is as appetizing as found in the fridge for a jar of macadamia nut ice late in the morning. Hopefully the rest of the album is so tasty - and palatable - as enjoyed in this intense breakthrough.

Lana Del Rey: nostalgic music video 'Carmen'
Today we woke up with a double omnipresenteLana news related to Del Rey. On the one hand we have found that the official music video for the single is already on the network. Far from the big production that we enjoy in "Born To Die" (or "Blue Jeans"!) Here we see a small visual deconstruction of all those scenarios and situations that have led to Lizzy Grant to be the well known King's wool. Aesthetic that point to the "spine" that prevails in the video reminds us a lot to the "Video Games":
If at 22:00 You were watching television you probably percatasteis Lana recently visited the set of Good Night and Buenafuente to interpret 'Video Games'. Here's the "direct" (we say "live" in quotes because there is a long time playback) conducted in Buenafuente Andreu's show for all those curious people who could not enjoy at the time of issue.

Join the conversation, thinking and MitStreiten
In the public discussion on "Munich Perspective" citizens should actively influence and a say. The launch event were Mayor Christian Ude and "invited guests" to speak. For the continuation of the action, the Department of Urban Planning and Construction has developed four strategic guidelines. This she now wants to present to the public and discuss it with her. From dialogue "with the public and" hopes to Unit "valuable suggestions and remarks" that will feed into the work process.
While urban planning Councillor Elizabeth Wish to Talk of the citizens happy and at the opening night said she was not only people seeking to "think, say and participate in planning," but also "companion", was Lord Mayor Christian Ude at the opening event of the "Boom Town Munich - period of success of his children? "on 13 March in the House of Literature skepticism as well, whether the city can ever get their problems under control. Too well known to the former tenant lawyer Ude, namely the continuing pressure for generations on the Munich housing market. He has been exacerbated in recent years. More and more people here whose homes and purchase and rental prices increase accordingly continues to increase, in just ten years, according to Ude "quickly to billions of dollars."
The cost of living are in Munich, in his words, the problem number 1 According building needs to spend nearly a third of households in Munich for the rent for more than 40 percent of income. Where the rent level, according to the market rent index have not yet reached 20 percent Mietsteige-tion every three years are allowed - to rise far more than wages, salaries and pensions. The gap between income and rental rate is expected to open even further, Ude.
If the city if they could, then, prevent the further construction of luxury apartments in the city? First, the law allows the no. And secondly, wealthy Munich would then ask the more affordable housing just yet, so continue to cut back the offer. "Gentrification," said Ude, describing "a pressing problem" for at least a generation. Since the financial crisis of 2008, there have, however, "increase the ludicrous" - "as during the gold rush. Because international capital flees in concrete now gold. "
This is true not only in Munich. Berlin had to fight more information Ude to three years with vacancies. Now, he says investors also put there "towards any cost." Especially Mu-chen in the property market but pays the price for his reputation as a healthy and growing de city. 2005 17 percent of Munich's urban population has a per capita income of 3,000 € per month had. Meanwhile, there are 31 percent, nearly twice as many, which may well bid. By contrast 18.5 percent of households in Munich have to make do with less than 1,000 € per month, which threatened to be suspended. In order to curb the price rise, the city, put in just five years, according to Ude 800 million euros in the promotion of social housing. Here, the city must also shoulder other burdens. Thus only the concrete restoration of subway lines in the next ten years will require 700 million euros. And for the child care needs of the city, in the words of the Lord Mayor is also an annual three-digit million amount.
Should we, as a consequence of the growth of the city "to make easy conclusion" if growth leads to more stress and shrinkage "more dreadful problems" generated, said Ude. He recalled the opposite trend to Munich as in Hall, the former workplace of Urban Planning Councillor Elizabeth Merk. About a decade after the fall of that city had lost because of the German internal migration around 100,000 people and 40,000 dwellings too much so - housing, lack of urgency in Munich. But this problem to the Bavarian capital has not only been the turning point. Already since 1848, since the census, lived in the city, according to Ude more newcomers than babies here.
What to do? Elizabeth wished to evaluate Wish Interview with Professor Dr. Ingrid Breckner, urban sociologist from Hamburg and Munich philosophy professor Dr. Julian Nida-Rumelin and Professor Dr. Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher, mathematician and economist at the University of Ulm. More wealth is the leverage? According to Nida-Rumelin can the economic performance of the five-day week in the 1960s by producing the productivity gains today in two and a half days. Do we therefore twice as good, or should we follow the example of Bhutan, which took more gross national product would look more gross happiness product developed? On the other hand, the real income of the general population, according to Nida-Rumelin have not risen further since then. "The top three percent creams." Asked the professor of philosophy, without any other specific, to grow those areas, leading to better quality of life, and others to slow down or even prevent it.
Radermacher seconded first: "You can do most efficiently the wrong thing." The plundering of the planet was sanctioned internationally. The individual state could do little, however, and the influence of a city is marginal. However: where there is scope, the city had to use it well. Munich's policy in this regard called Radermacher as well. Watch called for a new spirit of optimism in Munich and less "steady pressure" from. The Urban Planning Councillor wishes for the coming urban redevelopment as much "cultural acceptance". For their future was the "emotional climate" is crucial.
Ude, called the communication process must take place in the city honest. My interests are legitimate, you should not hide but behind alleged common good - with the motto: Developed please the town, but "not in his own district, not in their own street, not at the dog park opposite, and certainly not in our own backyard. "Especially when it comes to responding homes for the needy, but also in child care facilities for the urban community Ude experience often brusque rejection, even with" civil uprising ". More people follow rounds in April and May in Munich south, north and west
The bottom line is handled Munich's massive growth problems, according to experts is not bad. Parallel societies have not developed here. The "Munich mix" works. They called to get the professors as one of the major challenges. Marginalization of minority groups should be avoided, it was said with a warning look around on London. A second challenge, the experts in it, just people in care and service occupations in the city to secure affordable housing. If they were displaced, would jeopardize the essential services in the community.
A third challenge saw the rounds in the integration of migrants, with many children and high social costs. The key factor for this integration is the formation. In a crowd round a number of other issues would be heard. At the same time the city had activated its website for updating the perspective of Munich. On the first day, told Wish pleased with, would have clicked on this site 6000 citizens. The Urban Planning Councillor referred to four follow-up events, which will be questions and suggestions of citizens at the center:
On 23 April from 18.30 bis 21.00 clock in the Anton-Fingerle-education center, Schliersee Road 47,
on 26 April from 18.30 bis 21.00 clock in the House of Culture Milbertshofen, Curt Mezger-Platz 1,
and 7 May from 18.30 bis 21.00 clock in the middle school on the road Guardini Guardini 60th Street

Listen to "Best Of Kokua Festival" by Jack Johnson & Friends
The Kokua Festival is considered one of the festivals involved with the environment worldwide. Great merit of this is what Jack Johnson, singer-songwriter who has spent years in charge of this event located in Hawaii and has managed to confirm names of friends and acquaintances of the sector as Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson and Eddie Vedder. Jack, in order to celebrate the six years that the festival was held, has just released an album entitled "Best Of Kokua Festival" which compiles the best tracks live Jack Johnson and his friends have played in the Kokua.
The entire disk so you can listen to on a temporary basis through the web music.aol.com. What great way to start the week, right? Do not miss especially live performance of "Breakdown" (with Jake Shimabukuro), 'Better Together' (with Paula Fuga) and 'Constellations', with the ubiquitous Eddie Vedder and Kawika Kahiapo.

Black Box Revelation - Sealed With Thorns
On Easter burned the old city center thanks to a great concert that marked stunning Black Box Revelation to mark the first anniversary of the Music Hall room. The Belgian duo went to Barcelona (and Madrid) to present a "My Perception" left us in just three or four tracks a very good taste. One of the themes that we emphasize on that disk, regardless of 'Shadowman', 'Madhouse' or single 'My Perception "(great song if ever there) is' Sealed With Thorns', cut with the performance that is closed Barna and represents the climax of the whole career of this young garage rock band born in Dilbeek.
Complexity and stridency play each other on an issue that comes to represent a new step in the sound they have created for years Jan and Dries. As long as you enjoy it as best they deserve here we leave the studio version (colossal, one of the best we've heard in recent months) and direct place in Brussels Roland, one of the leading Belgian rocker world.

Hannah Cohen - Child Bride (2012)
Vogue Spinner. In the purest image to sound more sinuous. This is the change that has lived in recent years the photographer and model Hannah Cohen, who, influenced by the environment of the Village Vanguard New York, decided to leave the fashion magazines to focus on a new role as singer. That transformation, driven largely by Thomas Bartlett (Antony & The Johnsons, The National), promoted the creation of cutting a debut album that contains a fine folk jazz flavor.
"Child Bride" is the name of this LP of ten themes of life in which we discover the pros and cons of the proposal of this beautiful musical soloist. It is undeniable that the protected note Doveman has a great voice can be modulated nicely on tracks like 'Do not Say "or" Carry You Under' without doubt the best of the compact. However, "Child Bride" sin of being a little too ambitious album, with a proposal so absorbed in not wanting to complicate their production in the end the listener is left with the feeling of staying with his half-listening. The background of the cuts is interesting. And the vocal ability of the artist is amorous. But we want more, need more. Give us the next, Hannah.

Dave Grohl Jack Black coaches in the video for 'To Be The Best'
Less than half an hour was on the verge of going to sleep. I was beginning to close the session when suddenly I saw Foo Fighters had shared a video clip via Facebook Tenacious D in which he makes a funny cameo teacher Dave Grohl.
Val Kilmer (in the style of "In the Line of Fire"), Maria Menounos and the actual singer of Foo Fighters are the actors who share the limelight in 'To Be The Best' with the two crazy costumes by Tenacious D. The video is fun and the end acojonantemente, the style of "Rocky" reminds us again why we venerate the former drummer of Nirvana. You are great Dave!

The White Stripes: Under the lights of New Zealand
Jack White may be saying over and over again that The White Stripes are not back together, but that does not mean that the pale guitarist not want to continue taking advantage of the goose that lays golden eggs. In fact, reviewing the web Exclaim.ca, we proved that the duo will release this month of April, and on Third Man Records, a new live DVD entitled 'Under New Zealand Lights'.
The material on this album was recorded in two different dates: one took place in the King's Arms in Auckland in 2000, while the other happened in the Freeman's Bay Primary School in 2003. Apparently the only way to get this DVD goes by subscribing to the website of Third Man Records and gain a "vault" made up this DVD, a vinyl Karen Elson ("Eclipse") and a 7 "containing Raconteurs two unreleased tracks from the Lonely Sessions. If you are a staunch fan of The White Stripes, do not hesitate: You have time until 30 to order this juicy pack.

We recruit for "PICTURE"
Recently I had written about it already in my other blog, but I want the theme PICTURE "newspaper" but also raise again briefly on the agenda, including also because of the great clips for the blog image.
Surely everyone has ever been upset that this or did that "celebrity" lent his face and name for the BILD "newspaper" advertising - I've at least here in the blog echauffiert ever, in an open letter to JB Kerner. Nevertheless, it appears the urge to have their picture taken in connection with this hand, resting on their laurels - so I launched an initiative such as Who advertises picture for extremely useful in my opinion:
We do not know why you do it. But we know who does! Who advertises for IMAGE?
Why is it bad to promote the "Bild" newspaper? Advertising for the "Bild" newspaper is not like any shoe, soup or car ads, but also a statement that one's fraternization with the "Bild" newspaper is worth more than those people whose fates the "image "Newspaper sold daily headlines.
Picture blog for several years, researched stories behind the "Bild" newspaper, and shows how they both (sometimes innocently) researched plain bad mood makes targeted against human and political groups incited and destroyed the lives of human beings for the purpose of headlines.
To promote the "Bild" newspaper means to consent to these methods and to strengthen with his name. See also: Open letter from Judith Holofernes of We are heroes.
Celebrities say in the commercials for the most part bad about IMAGE. Is not that right?
One of the many insidious tricks of the marketing agency. The advertising figures are told they may say about the critical FIG. This seems a compelling argument to be, but still leads to the fact that it advertises the matter.
IMAGE has always tried to look like an uncomfortable sheet to give, before the celebrities have to be afraid, because even the "inconvenient truths" writing. Celebrities express themselves so (perhaps unknowingly) in the spirit of the leaf and give additional PICTURE the noble, moral, paint, allow some criticism.
But the money is GE-spen-det.
Another insidious trick of the marketing agency to build a bridge celebrities to advertise IMAGE (obviously there are fortunately still the necessity of having to build this bridge).
And there is another way, Judith Holofernes show of We are heroes, and to view blog Anke Engelke and Jim Carrey.
